Job Description

Dbase Developer (Flexible / Remote Working)Competitive Salary + BenefitsWe are currently recruiting for a Dbase Developer on behalf of our client, a highly regarded SME fintech business based in Hertfordshire.The key purpose of the role is to develop new and existing systems, system enhancements and modifications to fulfil the Technical Specifications and Change Request received from blue chip financial services clients.Key Responsibilities

  • Developing system changes and executing installations of developed systems.
  • Understanding, investigating and producing gap analysis for change requests.
  • Assisting with providing accurate technical specifications for third party products.
  • Investigating and resolving system errors and crashes.
  • Resolving allocated bugs/change requests/errors and other helpdesk jobs as allocated.
  • Creating and maintaining documentation detailing the companys development methodology, to be used as a training aid.
  • Enhancing systems for increased automation opportunities, efficiency and scalability.
  • Discussing client requirements and proposed solutions with the IT team or our clients.
  • Working with the Business Analyst to provide technical solutions for documenting on change requests.
Key Requirements
  • Excellent knowledge of Dbase 5 Novell is essential for the role.
  • Knowledge of other legacy technology such as DOS and Linux is useful.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and solution writing.
  • Excellent level of development work.
  • Experience of working within the Financial Services Industry is preferred, but not essential.
