Job Description

DATA SCIENTIST £50,000 - 60,000BIRMINGHAM Be the lead analyst within the trading and commercial arm of this national automobile retailer!THE COMPANYA leading retailer within the automobile space who recently has gone through a customer centric transformation looking to ensure all decisions are made with the customer in mind. They have access to huge data sets and a variety of data sources and the LOVEto use it! This is a great opportunity to join the team as they begin to flourish in their new way of working!THE ROLEAs a Data Scientist your focus will be to , specifically you will have to:

  • Be the go to person for all analytics across commercial and trading, providing analytics on price elasticity, product optimisation and forecasting
  • Design and build experiments to collect and analyse relevant data for predictive modelling that addresses business objectives
  • Use predictive models to forecast customers response to new products as well as promotional testing, customer lifetime value and churn
  • Use regression models to assess the validity of web and marketing campaigns
YOUR SKILLSThe successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Modelling within Python, SQL and SAS
  • Expert using visualisation tools such as PowerBI or Tableau to provide insights in an aesthetic visual deck
  • Great communicator and able to convey complicated technical terms in digestible language
