Job Description

DATA GOVERNANCE MANAGER BIRMINGHAM£50,000-£60,000 +BONUS +BENEFITSTHE COMPANYThis business is a leader within the finance space with a large presence globally. They are renowned for having a data driven approach and the governance team is a key are for them as a business. They are looking for a new Data Governance Manager to comeon board and work with the risk and finance teams to ensure compliance across regulations (BCBS).THE ROLEAs a Data Governance Manager, you will sit within the central data function. Some of your main responsibilities will be:

  • Manage multiple stakeholders across the business, understand their requirements and ensure the data is correct and compliant for various verticals.
  • Work closely with the risk and finance team to ensure continuity and BCBS239 compliance between the reports and data.
  • Completion of data governance documents across glossarys, privacy, processing etc
  • Support build of remedial work programs - in line with GDPR
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEA successful Data Governance Manager will have:
  • Experience working on BSBC regulation would be ideal, failing that experience working on GDPR, cookies etc within the finance space is required
  • Experience using SAS would be beneficial in the commercial environment is a must.
  • Experience working on data quality projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to converse with stakeholders.
