We have an exciting opportunity for aData Governance Analyst Administrator (Apprentice)to be based at our Head Office inBirmingham.The role is to help and support the Data Privacy and Compliance team with the administrationalduties in the UK and Ireland.We are seeking an innovative, organised and focussed individual who is looking for a challenge and wants to expand their knowledge, skills and qualifications within the privacy protection arena.As part of this role, the individual will complete an apprenticeship, gaining a level 3 or 4 qualification (dependent on your qualifications and experience), learn new skills and earn a competitive salary.What youll do...

  • Keep under review the teams internal and external communication email accounts, prioritising requests to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and business timescales. Ensure the team member receives the request and update teams workflow.
  • Assist in the administrational duties of obtaining the data and carrying out any redactions for requests received by data subjects for a copy of their personal data.
  • Carry out any transcript of calls, notes and files including redactions for CCTV footage.
  • Working alongside the Data Governance Officers, assist with the recording of data subjects Rights requests and update registers.
  • To keep the administrational records of business areas information asset registers up to date.
  • Assist the collation and administration of the data analysis/graphs and reports.
  • Assisting in the collation of any data to enable the assessment and reporting of any data breach, and working with the data governance officers on the administration of the registers.
  • Support the register of controls, (policy and procedures), and ensuring the controls are published in a timely manner on the companys intranet site.
  • Assist with trend analysis reports that feed into monthly board reports.
  • Administer monthly data protection progress awareness reports, supplying updates to data protection officer.
  • Proof reading of documents, letters and reports to ensure their grammatical accuracy.
  • Booking and arranging meetings.
  • Booking and arranging hotels and travel.
  • Supporting typing, filing, calendar meetings and bookings.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
What youll need...
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Willing to work towards qualification in data protection.
  • Demonstrable experience gained within a privacy role or similar.
  • Understanding of the GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Excellent communication, IT and written skills.
  • Confidence in gathering information from difference sources and stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and strong organisational skills.
  • Proactive attitude, with a willingness to support all data protection initiatives.
  • Team orientated and able to work collaboratively with other colleagues to deliver results.
  • Self-sufficient and able to prioritise and carry out tasks with minimum supervision.
  • Management of a complex and diverse workload and the ability to deal with conflicting and changing demands.
