MBA are proud to partner one of the Midlands most innovative technology organisations in their search for an experienced Data Architect on a permanent basis. Your central responsibility as the data architect will be to develop, optimize, and oversee our companys conceptual and logical data systems. Your duties may include preparing architect reports, monitoring the system, and supervising system migrations.To succeed in this role, you should know how to examine new data system requirements and implement migration models. The ideal candidate will also have proven experience in data analysis and management, with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.The role is split between mostly remote based with occasional office days (Central Birmingham OR Doncaster)Data Architect - Responsibilities* Research and properly evaluate sources of information to determine possible limitations in reliability or usability* Apply sampling techniques to effectively determine and define ideal categories to be questioned* Compare and analyse provided statistical information to identify patterns, relationships and problems* Develop database solutions to store and retrieve company information* Install and configure information systems to ensure functionality* Analyse structural requirements for new software and applications* Design conceptual and logical data models and flowcharts* Improve system performance by conducting tests, troubleshooting and integrating new elements* Recommend solutions to improve new and existing database systems* Optimize new and current database systems* Define security and backup procedures* Coordinate with the Business Intelligence & Reporting department to identify future needs and requirementsData Architect - Skills * Proven work experience as a Data Architect, Data Scientist or similar role* In-depth understanding of database structure principles* Experience gathering and analysing system requirements* Knowledge of data mining and segmentation techniques* Expertise in SQL and Oracle* Proficiency in MS Excel* Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Qlik Sense)* Extensive experience with Digital platforms, Cloud platforms and applications* Experience with large-scale streaming technologies* Experience creating data architectures and models in large, consumer-orientated organisations* Experience in delivering end to end solutions, high level architecture and associated principles to include data sourcing, integrations/flows, usage, whilst retaining policy compliance* Data Warehousing, ETL / Data Processing, Data Migration.* Master Data Management (MDM) systems.* Experience with conceptual, logical and physical data modelling and clear understanding about defining data architecture framework, standards and principles.* Experience of working within a framework of IT Governance, Technical Design Authority and Change Advisory Boards.Data Architect - Perks* An enhanced employer pension contribution rate and pension deductions made through salary sacrifice for tax and national insurance savings.* Comprehensive life insurance* Free eye test vouchers and vouchers towards the cost of glasses (dependent on test results)* Access to My Staff Shop our benefits portal with 1000s of high street, online, supermarket, cinema, travel and gym discounts.* Financial and health wellbeing programs and support including and employee assistance program* Reward & recognition programs* Agile ways of working for office staff* Long service awards when you reach key milestones* The opportunity to be part of a forward thinking collaborative team who will focus on your future career and developmentSalary: £75,000 / £85,000For an informal discussion please contact Mobile -
