Job Description

Data Architect £75,000Birmingham (fully remote)ShortList Recruitment are working with a leading cloud-based consultancy firm who are looking for a Data Architect to join their growing team, on a fully remote basis.The successful candidate will be a SQL specialist capable of managing customer requirements for data-centric projects, designing integration solutions, hands-on data implementations and management of SQL and cloud-based technologies.The Data Architect should have experience working in an agile environment and making technical decisions where there is uncertainty from a data architecture perspective, whilst being an expert in ETL design, build, implementation and delivery.Key skills for the Data Architect to have:

  • Appreciation of cloudy DBaaS propositions, specifically within Azure and how to decide on the most appropriate solution option
  • API integration with RESTful APIs for SaaS products, or through Integration Frameworks such as PowerAutomate or Logic Apps
  • Inmon, Kimball, data vault data modelling techniques and how to apply them in an agile development context
  • Designing performant and robust ETL pipelines
  • Understanding of Master Data Management solutions and Data Quality concepts
  • Data Migration projects, especially with D365 or other CRMs
  • Source control appreciation, esp. GIT
Candidates are expected to have some of the following skills:
  • D365 specific ETL, e.g ADF, ODATA API, Kingswaysoft
  • Working with D365 and Power Platform
  • Workload offload in Azure using Functions and Service Bus
  • Azure Synapse, Databricks
  • Working with streaming datasets and processing such as Stream Analytics
  • Machine Learning concepts, ML ops, and citizen data science tools such as Azure ML Studio, AWS Sagemaker
  • Azure Cognitive Services
  • Python, Juypter Notebooks, development with Spark
  • Application development in C#, .js, R, Scala
  • MS certifications
