Job Description

Cyber Security Engineer Degree ApprenticeshipLocation: Birmingham, Bath Row, B15 1LZSalary: £20,000 per annumHours: 35 hours per weekContract Type: Full Time, ApprenticeshipThe Role Well support you to become a fully qualified Cyber Security Professional, as you support us to ensure that our systems and the data we hold is robustly protected.As a Degree Apprentice Cyber Security Engineer within our Cyber Security team, well support you through a five-year programme to develop the skills, knowledge and qualifications needed to test, challenge and design our technology and systems - protecting our customers and our organisation from ever-changing threats.Whilst you study for a BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology degree at Aston University, well provide you with a broad range of hands-on opportunities to put your learning into practice - allowing you to gain real-world experience needed to be able to:

  • Research, diagnose and resolve any IT security incidents proactively and reactively.
  • Perform vulnerability scans / penetration testing on networks, servers, systems and applications.
  • Conduct technical security audits and perform technical risk assessments to identify and implement measures to continually improve our cybersecurity provision.
Having benefitted from a broad range of support, including guidance from seasoned industry professionals and our senior leadership team, your five-year apprenticeship will culminate in you gaining sector leading experience, a recognised degree, and furtheropportunities to grow your Cyber Security and technology skillset through ongoing investment in your professional development.Our entry requirements To be eligible to apply, you must have achieved:
  • A minimum of three A Levels at CCC or above including a Mathematics based subject and a STEM subject, or equivalent.
  • A minimum of five GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Mathematics, English and a science, technology or engineering related subject, or equivalent.
