Job Description

RM Recruit are pleased to be working with a dynamic organisation who are seeking a well-experienced Credit Controller to join their team on a part-time, permanent basis working between 17 - 20 hours per week. Our client is able to offer a flexible, hybridworking arrangement with a generous holiday allowance.The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the companys credit control functions, ensuring timely payments from clients, and minimising overdue accounts. The role involves maintaining strong relationships with customers, monitoring creditlimits, and implementing effective credit control procedures.Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage the credit control process to ensure timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Assess and set appropriate credit limits for customers based on financial analysis.
  • Evaluate creditworthiness of new and existing clients.
  • Proactively contact customers with overdue accounts to secure timely payments.
  • Negotiate and establish repayment plans when necessary.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to senior management as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients/customers to facilitate smooth payment processes.
  • Generate reports on aged debt and credit control performance.
  • Provide regular updates to management on outstanding issues and potential risks.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date records of customer accounts and payment history.
  • Prepare and issue relevant documentation such as invoices, credit notes, and statements.
The ideal candidate will be qualified by experience or possess a CICM qualification with a brilliant attention to detail and an ability to reconcile complex accounts. You will possess strong, confident communication skills with the ability to establish relationshipsat ease. It is essential that the ideal candidate is able to work efficiently with good organisational skills.
