Job Description

Job Title: Cover SupervisorLocation: BirminghamSalary: £80 - £120 per dayContract: Temporary/Part-timeWe are currently seeking a Cover Supervisor for a Secondary School in Egbaston on a temporary basis. The role will involve covering classes when teachers are absent, ensuring that students are engaged in productive learning activities and maintaining a positiveand safe classroom environment.As a Cover Supervisor, you will:

  • Deliver pre-planned lessons and ensure that students are engaged in productive learning activities
  • Manage classroom behaviour in accordance with the schools behaviour policy
  • Supervise students during break times and ensure that they remain safe and well-behaved
  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance and progress
  • Report any safeguarding concerns to the designated safeguarding lead
  • Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required
You, as the successful candidate may have:
  • Experience of working with young people in an educational setting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage behaviour effectively
  • Good organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced environment
Desirable requirements:
  • Experience of covering classes or delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Degree or equivalent qualification
  • Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures (safeguarding training offered)
