Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimantsand commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.Our public sector client based in Birmingham City Centre are recruiting for a court usher (Band F) to join their team as a temporary employee. This is currently a temporary role until 31/03/24 with a good chance of being extended. This is a full-time role,37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Your usual working hours will be around the hours of 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm. Your start and finish time will be dependent on business needs. The pay rate for this role is £10.95 per hour, paid on a weekly basis. Due to the nature of the role, this is fully onsite with no hybrid or work from home opportunities. As a court usher you will be responsible for a smooth running of the courts. Fantastic customer service skills will be required for this role, you will be speaking with people from all walks of life. Your day-to-day duties will include: - Setting up the court rooms (water, pads, pens etc) - Ensuring correct schedule for the court rooms- Collating court files and papers- Giving directions to court rooms- Recording outcomes - Data entry Candidates with strong face to face customer service experience will be considered for this role.
