Our client HM Courts & Tribunals Service (HMCTS) is an agency of the Ministry of Justice. From some of the most vulnerable people in our society, to families in crisis, claimantsand commercial businesses - HMCTS has a responsibility to administer a justice system that is accessible to everyone and operates efficiently.Our public sector client based in Birmingham are recruiting for a court usher (Band F) to join their team as a temporary employee. This is currently a temporary role until 04/11/2024 with a good chance of being extended. This is a full-time role, 37 hours perweek, Monday - Friday. Your usual working hours will be around the hours of 8am - 4pm, 9am - 5pm. Your start and finish time will be dependent on business needs. The location for this role is B4 7NA This role is fully onsite. As a court usher you will be responsible for a smooth running of the courts. Fantastic customer service skills will be required for this role, you will be speaking with people from all walks of life. Your day-to-day duties will include: - Setting up the court rooms (water, pads, pens etc) - Ensuring correct schedule for the court rooms- Collating court files and papers- Giving directions to court rooms- Recording outcomes - Data entry Candidates with strong face to face customer service experience will be considered for this role. Due to the nature of the position, the successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check (free of charge).
