Walters People: Corporate Accountant - Birmingham - 6-month FTC - £32k - £37k permanent equivalent salaryIm currently working alongside a leading business based in Birmingham in their recruitment of a Corporate Accountant on an FTC basis. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be providing support in the delivery of management information toclients.Key responsibilities of the Corporate Accountant:* Supporting the Finance Manager to deliver all reports and services to clients to agreed deadlines.* Preparing budget and forecasts - Variance analysis and providing commentary and explanations on those variances.* Preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals & prepayments.* Producing cash flow forecasting, including highlighting potential cashflow issues and cash management* Monitoring and updating associated authorisation workflows and payables.* Undertaking balance sheet reconciliations including bank reconciliations, VAT returns, AP, and AR reconciliations.* Occasionally attending with senior members of the team to client review meetings.* Supporting the team in year-end audit process and tasks.* Preparing of monthly client funding requests. * Ensuring accurate and timely database updates by regularly reviewing tenancy schedules for example.About you as the Corporate Accountant:* Immediately available or on a 1 week notice period* Part Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards* Experience in property management industry is essential* 2 years experience in a similar role is essential* Ability to manage and prioritise conflicting timelines and pressures* Experience of working in a busy fast paced finance functionRobert Walters Operations Limited is an employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates
