Job Description

Role: Compliance Health and Safety ManagerLocation: BirminghamSalary: £Competitive + Company BenefitsOur client, an international leading manufacturing company based in Birmingham, is recruiting for a Compliance Health and Safety Manager to join their rapidly expanding company.Reporting directly to the site manager, alongside ensuring legal compliance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and development and maintenance of the Integrated Management System (IMS), the role will work to inspire the team to achieve a zero-harmenvironment and culture, reflecting the clients drive to be world class.Your role will include:- To work alongside the Environmental Compliance Manager, to manage all aspects of theCompliance department, including full time support (Compliance Assistant).- To take part in the activities of the Senior Team and be a fully functioning member of that team.- To introduce other compliance related systems and project work as required by theOrganisation.- To maintain ISO45001, suitable to the companys business needs.- To obtain and maintain accreditation to a suitable standard.- To promote the use of the system and develop the Health & Safety culture at the company in conjunction with members of the Senior Team.- To consult and liaise with the Managers on changes to the system and the effectsof the system on the business.- To assist with the monitoring of the operation of and maintenance of a quality systemsuitable to the business needs.- To ensure accreditation to a suitable standard is maintained.- To promote the use of the system and the philosophy of a quality organisation within the business.The Ideal Candidate:- Relevant work experience in manufacturing and/or heavy industry and construction- Policy implementation and review- Audit & Inspection experience- Previous experience will be essential as will a good working knowledge of the Environmental Permitting Regulations, ISO 14001, BS EN ISO 50001, ISO 9001 and ISO45001- NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent- Working knowledge of PUWER Regulations 1998 and Management Health Safety Regulations 99At KHR we take care to ensure that you are represented as well as possible so it is worth checking your CV for layout, spelling and grammar as well as making sure it is up to date before you submit.
