Job Description

Commissioning Engineer£3 5,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) + benefits - BirminghamOur clients have a reputation as specialists in water and air hygiene, working with some of the biggest names in Britain and are looking for a Commissioning Engineer to join their team! A commissioning engineer has no 2 days the same and is always facinga new challenge. Some of the key duties you will be expected to carry out as a Commissioning Engineer are; travelling to remote work sites to witness testing of equipment, preparing test plans, procedures, and checklists of how systems will be tested and remedialworks to cold water storage tanks to name a few.Key Duties of a Commissioning Engineer:

  • Remedial works to cold water storage tanks and power flushing.
  • Chemical dosing to heating and chilled systems and acid descales.
  • Flushing and chemical dosing id chilled water and heating systems as per BSRIA standards.
  • Prepare test plans, procedures, and checklists of how systems will be tested.
  • Review technical drawings to understand the function of each system.
  • Work with construction groups to ensure quality requirements are being met
  • Perform root cause analysis to investigate issues.
Experience required for the Commissioning Engineer role:
  • Engineering Degree (Mechanical and electrical are most appliable to a commissioning engineer role, however structural and civil engineers will still be considered.)
  • DBS Check
  • Full UK driving license
  • Good communication
  • 2 years experience as a commissioning engineer within a water hygiene company is preferable.
