Job Description

Commercial Surveyor - Housing / Asset ManagementUp to £42,265 per annum (depending on skills)Home based (with travel to Worcester/Solihull office and other locations as required)Permanent, Full TimeWe currently have a rare opportunity for a Commercial Surveyor to permanently join our Strategic Asset Management team.This is a varied role where you will support the Asset Manager to oversee active asset management of the estate, with a key focus on asset performance and rationalisation. You will also analyse property performance, conduct option appraisals, and facilitatesuccessful property disposals.Your daily tasks will include reviewing property performance, conducting detailed option appraisals and managing property disposals and wayleaves. You will be responsible for managing a Commercial Co-Ordinator including coaching and mentoring to ensure professionalgrowth and effectiveness in their role.Some of the things we are looking for:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent through relevant training/experience
  • Proven experience as a Commercial Surveyor, focusing on option appraisals and property disposals.
  • Experience in interpreting contractual documentation, asset related legal documents, plans, leases, deeds in respect of land parcels and assets.
  • Experience of conducting site surveys and stock/asset condition reports.
  • Knowledge of key drivers in property valuation and appraisals
  • Strong Analytical Skills: To assess and compare various options based on their potential benefits, costs, risks, and impacts.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills - ability to communicate clearly and effectively with a range of parties (inc. stakeholders and employees).
  • An awareness of social housing would be beneficial for this role
