Join us on the journey... We have an exciting new opportunity in our bids team for a Commercial Bid Analyst based at our Head Office in Birmingham. Hybrid working (2 days in Head Office), who will be responsible for delivering financial modelling and analysis for major bid contractssought by our UK Coach business. You will need to have a high attention to detail, work well under pressure as well as within a tight timescale and be driven to deliver winning bids.What youll do...Delivering financial modelling and analysis for major bid contracts that will underpin tender pricing strategies.The delivery, accuracy and presentation of all tender pricing submissions for commercial tenders, in conjunction with the respective qualitative submission.Maintaining a strong awareness and knowledge of macro-economic assumptions, potential impacts and methodologies that are relevant to transport bid pricing; for example, rates of inflation, cost of living and economic principles.Supporting the production and delivery of bid sign off presentations for senior management, including risk profiling and presenting financial information.Effective documentation and planning of key financial assumptions.Implementing continuous improvements and efficiencies to commercial bid modelling processes, including costing, financial analysis and sensitivities analysis.Engaging with major stakeholders such as finance, legal and procurement throughout the bidding process.Ad-hoc analytical support throughout tender processes to support the wider bid and contracts team.Ad-hoc analytical support for the UK Coach business on other projects as and when required.What youll need...Graduate calibre with a preference in Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Business StudiesExperience in analysis or commercial modelling in a business environment desired.Experience of working on commercial transport bids and contracts desired.Ability to work well under pressure with tight deadlines and fast-paced environment.Strong MS Excel skills as a prerequisite.Knowledge of key accountancy and financial assessment models.Logical thinker with excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.Strong communication skills; confident to communicate with a range of stakeholders including senior management.What we offer in return for your hard work and commitment...£34,000 per annumUp to a 15% company bonus and discretionary win bonuses related to performance.Free Bus & Coach travel for yourselfComplimentary coach travel for a Nominated Person or complimentary bus travel for a Spouse or Partner50% discount for friends and family on full fares on our coach servicesCompany pensionLife AssuranceAccess to NX Health BusEmployee Assistance ProgrammeVariety of deals and discounts available through NX online portalNational Express is proud to be a Disability Committed organisation.
