CNC Programmer - Manufacturing & Engineering - West Midlands - Up to £44,000About the companyOur client is looking for a CNC Programmer working for a multi-site operation within general engineering and materials sector, supplying Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial, motorsports and Marine. CNC Programmer - Requirements* Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Programmer or similar role* Proficient in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machine* Strong knowledge of machining principles, tooling, and materials handling* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications* Working to ISO9001 and ISO45001 Standards* Fanuc controls experience* Autodesk Powermill Programming Software experience* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail* An eye for detail and a focus on quality control* Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment* Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is preferred* Good communication skills* Right first-time mentalityCNC Programmer - Responsibilities* Programme, set and operate 3 and 5-axis CNC machinery, to produce and finish syntactic materials.* Comply with Health and Safety regulations at all times, taking responsibility for the safety of self and others, reporting concerns or hazards immediately.* Carry out quality assurance checks and report any imperfections* Adhere to Production Schedules and Standard Operating Procedures in order to produce products in line with quality specifications, and on time.* Correct any errors in job programmes or settings at the earliest possibility, minimising waste and re-work and checking the new settings reliably produce Grade A product.* Ensure continuous monitoring/review of operations and product to ensure quality assurance.* Carry out housekeeping and basic maintenance duties.* Liaise with Head of Special Projects and Head of Design and Engineering to create job programmes to specification.* Use lift trucks to move unfinished materials and finished goods around the facility as necessary.* Use basic computer systems to track stock levels and product lifecycle data.* Report any incidents of non-conformance to the Line Manager.* Maintain records in line with audit requirements and established procedures.* Comply with all technical documentation* Ensuring the department is at the cutting edge of CNC machining capability, including fixturing, tooling and software utilisationAbout UsDetail2Recruitment acts as an employment agency in respect of this position.
