Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Client Portfolio Manager Assistant. The main purpose of the role is to support and assist the Client Portfolio Managers (CPMs) in acquiring clients and managing the relationships with existing clients. The role sitswithin the client facing team of the business. You will report to the Client Operations Team Manager.Key Duties & Responsibilities:You will assist the CPMs in acquiring and managing clients. You will also help maximise the profitability of existing relationships by ensuring that clients receive an exceptional quality of service on a day to day basis. You will manage your own workload andtake responsibility for ensuring that the client records and systems are set up accurately and managed effectively, taking any reasonable steps to remedy errors and report any deficiencies to the CPM.

  • To ensure that all client accounts are set up accurately.
  • To ensure that day-to-day client relationships are effectively managed and that all paperwork and systems are properly maintained.
  • To deal with client enquiries and calls and act as first point of contact when the CPM is out of the office.
  • To collate client data to support the production of central reporting data and produce client reporting packs
  • To assist the CPMs in the recruitment and retention of High Net Worth clients through direct means as well as through intermediary channels
  • To support the CPMs with preparation for client and marketing meetings, and to work on presentations and correspondence
  • To assist with reviewing portfolios for implementation of investment changes and the monitoring of adherence to guidelines
  • To identify and research potential new clients and introducers and support CPMs in approaching those identified
  • To aid the development and enhancement of the company brand in the marketplace.
  • To develop and improve processes to ensure that clients receive an exceptional client experience.
  • The job holder will be aware of the 6 core outcomes under Treating Customers Fairly and contribute to the monitoring of these outcomes as part of the TCF policy
The role requires:
  • Understanding of client acquisition and management in the High Net Worth space.
  • Understanding of Financial markets and FCA and other statutory regulations.
  • Relevant Private Client relationship experience and industry knowledge.
  • Understanding on the use of HNW computer systems.
  • Some knowledge of portfolio construction and how this is influenced by clients tolerance for risk.
  • Use of Microsoft Office Software packages e.g. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Commitment to quality & strong attention to detail.
  • Professionalism and business integrity.
  • Strong work ethic and stamina.
  • Decision making and judgement.
  • Excellent Time-keeping and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Should be able to demonstrate relevant experience within a client servicing function in a client focussed financial services environment.
  • Some knowledge of SIPP or Wrap would be desirable.
