Job Description

Are you a Works Manager looking to take the next step in your careerWe are seeking a Works Manager in Birmingham to join a large civils project, working in an effective and forward thinking team. You will be working alongside a Project Manager and will be responsible for labour, plant safety, and cost-effective production.Responsibilities:

  • Manage the workmanship and quality of the works
  • Ensure compliance with method statements and risk assessments
  • Support the Site Manager and Project Manager in implementing health, safety, environmental and quality standards across all sites through audits and records
  • Carry out site inductions to all personnel, daily briefings and toolbox talks
  • Ensuring the clerk of works/inspectors check work prior to covering up
  • Ensure time sheets are fully completed and are accurate for the hours worked on site
Requirements:
  • Site Supervision experience within Civil Engineering & Construction
  • Experience in managing project/site programmes & progress
  • SSSTS certificate
  • In-date CSCS certificate
  • CPCS certificate
  • HND/C Civil Engineering or NVQ L3/4 in Construction Site Supervision
