Job Description

We have a fantastic opportunity for a CCNP or CCIE qualified, Technical Presales Consultant to join a dynamic, vibrant, and award-wining provider of digital transformation solutions. This is a remote / field-based position operating in covering England and Wales.You will receive a great package:

  • 22 days of holiday per year, increasing after two years by 1 additional day for each year, up to a maximum of 27 days (+ 8 days customary holiday)
  • Access to a Great Pension (minimum employee contribution of 5% and an employer contribution of 3%)
  • Life Assurance Death in Service benefit (4 x basic salary)
    • The Role:As the Cisco Technical Pre-sales Consultant you will operate at a senior level and provide enterprise Cisco network solution designs through pre-sales activities. You will be responsible for the architecture, design, and provisioning of Cisco-based network solutions.The role is remote / field-based and as the Cisco CCNP Technical Pre-Sales Consultant, you will:
  • Own solution design processes, specialising in Cisco & Cisco Meraki
  • Recommend products to fit client requirements and recommend new products
  • Operate in a customer-facing position, supporting pre-sales including the creation of high-level and low-level network design documentation, attend customer meetings, proposal creation, bid and tender responses
  • Support sales staff and mentor junior engineers, staying up-to-date with new and emerging technologies, products and strategies
    • Essential Requirements:To be successful in this role a commitment to continuous professional development is key to deepen area of expertise.You must have:
  • A full driving licence
  • CCNP certification with a desire to obtain CCIE qualification
  • Solid experience working in customer-facing design and implementation roles
  • Proven experience leading complex technical engagements
  • Expertise in Cisco and Cisco Meraki
  • Experience using - campus networking (L2/ L3), datacentre, cloud, collaboration, and security and networking technologies including in depth TCP/IP knowledge, routers, switches, firewalls, IPS, ACLs, QoS, VLANs, VPN, BGP, DHCP, WAN and LAN environments, remote-access technologies
    • It would be a bonus if you had: Some experience coaching and mentoringCustomer requirement scoping and consultative technical selling skillsA good understanding of the following technologies is desirable:
  • DNA Centre, SecureX, ISE, Umbrella SD-WAN, NG-FW
  • Cisco switches, routers and firewalls, Cisco Security supported products such as ISE, FirePOWER and ASA, and protocols including OSPF, RIPv2, BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, VPLS, IPSEC, VPN, SSL VPN, VOIP, SIP Trunking, FCOE and iSCISI.
