The Role - Chief Operations Officer (COO)Location - National position, flexibility to work from home with travel when requiredPackage - Salary around £140,000 - £150,000 with significant option scheme, bonus of 20%, Healthcare.We are looking to bring in a new chief operations officer, to a well funded alt-net that are providing full fibre networks across the UK.Its an exciting period of change for the senior level in the business, and theyve delivered a lot by way of homes passed and RFS within a relatively short time period, but are now looking to bring in a operational and delivery focused leader who will bethe right hand of the CEO.Delivery is key, and on that basis we are looking to bring in a senior level, known name from the UK telecoms network industry who can point to a detailed understanding of how a full fibre network is built and deployed, but also a lot of all round operationallysavvy befitting a position at this level.The company are performing well - but there is room for improvement and those improvements can be discussed through the application process.Youd sit above delivery, design, compliance, field engineering, logistics, procurement, streetworks, SHEQ and wayleaves.Network is using PIA, so savvy in that area (At least high level) is assumed.This will be a work from home position, with occasional common sense travel to programme areas required when needed - most of the patch is Midlands based.Key background:Executive level delivery of telecoms networks within the UK is essential, ideally FTTP and then the ability to inspire and implement further change to build on the good work and solid platform that has been put in place over the past 18 months or so.LTIP will be in the form of an EMI style scheme which can be discussed in more detail, but expected return for projected figures will be significant. Normal benefits for a role at this level are also in place by way of health, life assurance etc.
