Job Description

Alexander Daniels have been engaged on a retained basis to help recruit a best in class CFO from a SaaS / B2C Technology environment.My client has recently had private equity funding and have an exciting plan to dramatically increase the scale and impact of the business through maximising the potential of existing relationships and developing new ones. The successful CFO will operate as a full member of the C suite with broad responsibility across finance, HR and BI. The CFO will play a key role in the strategic management of the group within a high growth environment. To be successful for this position the incoming CFO must have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Must have some knowledge or worked in a B2C technology/SaaS environment.
  • Previous PE / transaction experience advantageous
  • Must be prepared to get hands dirty; there is currently a small accounts team which will need scaling as the business grows.
  • Team player, able to forge strong working relationships across the company
  • High energy and drive
    • CFOs main tasks will include:
  • Strategic management
  • Work with the team as a motivator, facilitator and driver for financial performance with the emphasis on cash in addition to profit
  • Manage the working capital of the business
  • Maximising sales and margin opportunities
  • Effective management of a small finance team
  • Full responsibility for the Business Intelligence function proactively ensuring that it is positioned as a key business development tool at the heart of decision making .
  • Full responsibility for the HR function
  • Produce and maintain reporting systems including trend analysis and financial modelling
  • Responsible for the effective management of stakeholder relationships including Investors and Banks
  • Ensure suitable and robust financial controls are maintained across the company
