Job Description

Your new roleCapability and Improvement ManagerWhat youll be doing

  • Delivering improvements to Commercial & Procurement that enhance our commercial capabilities and improve our systems and processes to meet the challenge of the roads period.
  • Drive strategic improvements that align with C&Ps overarching improvement plan.
  • To upskill colleagues on our operating model, the Contract Control Framework the (CCF). Improving commercial skills to ultimately improve National Highways contract management capabilities.
  • To lead on aspects of embedding our operating modelthe CCF. while ensuring that the CCF learning requirements are aligned to strategic priorities.
  • To develop commercial knowledge sharing and promote best practice across Commercial & Procurement.
  • Support the Senior Capability and Improvement Manager to deliver an effective Workforce Plan and Improvement Plan. Including supporting the Graduate, Apprentice and Placement programme.
To be successful
  • Be able to demonstrate effective communication skills and be able to communicate and present confidently to multiple audiences.
  • The ability to co-ordinate resources to deliver shared goals
  • Understanding of CCF and Improvement Plan activity and the reporting mechanisms.
  • Experience of working with and developing communities and stakeholder management
  • Excel and data management capability with the ability to analyse data to drive activity.
  • Knowledge of effective reporting through tools such as Power BI.
