Job Description

Buyer, Birmingham, £30,000 - £40,000 + Benefits So, youre interested in learning more about the job but have a few questionsWhats the roleAs with any buyer role, youll be working closely along side other departments in the business including merchandising and sales, but youll also be

  • Maximising current relationships and expanding new relationships with suppliers
  • Driving new categories in to existing and new customers
  • Range planning and process mapping, reviewing current trends and sales data
  • Sourcing relevant products from the far east
What do I needStrong organisational and analytical skills are key for this role, but a few other elements that are important are
  • Retail experience would be ideal, especially if you have furniture/ homeware category experience
  • Experience sourcing and buying products from the Far East would be advantageous
  • Strong negotiation skills and customer focused
  • Commercial knowledge of the furniture market and trends
  • A strong retail background is key!
