Our leading insight and news service, the Health Service Journal, provides the most influential people in health with vital intelligence, analysis and advice.Join our teams in London and Basildon to be part of our exciting journey.Main Purpose of RoleThis role sits in the Digital and Data Business Unit of Wilmington Healthcare (WH) and is part of the wider WH data-driven digital engagement services. The business is experiencing significant growth which means we are looking to continue to accelerate andbring the right people in to the business.Overall, the Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development and implementation of a sales plan to meet corporate expectation and managing and developing sales activities within the marketYou will be the link between the client and the Company!It is a rare chance to join an above target team working within the UK healthcare data and intelligence sector. With a heritage in the market and leading brands, your challenge will be to secure both new business and renew existing accounts whilst increasingoverall revenue through cross selling and upselling.Core responsibilities include:- Achieving sales target and activity key performance indicators (KPIs)- Pro-actively approach new customers with a clearly defined strategy for growth- Outstanding account management that leads to increased average order value- Devise marketing strategies in a cohesive manner with our marketing team- Input and maintaining accurate records on Salesforce- Provide market insight for product development and sector growth- Developing strategy for expanding scope of existing contracts and identifying new business opportunities.- Establish and maintain excellent client relationships through regular close contact, including virtual face-to-face meetings, telephone and e-mail communication.- To work closely with internal teams to ensure the client is receiving the highest level of service and excellent performance of any digital campaign programmes- Being regarded as a recognised and valued partner by the client- Actively discuss opportunities within the team to increase the services offered to your portfolio, increasing the revenue generated from itSkills and Experience Required- B2B Sales experience- Outbound telephone-based or face to face sales experience- Proven track record of winning and developing clients, in Healthcare sector- Knowledge of marketing services in Healthcare- Knowledge of the UK Healthcare - desirable- Ideally, experience of successfully employing a consultative selling approach- A good understanding of what it takes to maintain and develop the most productive Client relationships- Previous role utilising advanced qualification techniques- Working with Microsoft products and presentation experience- Excellent written and verbal communication- Proven ability to work as part of a team- Winning mentality and being of high energy, your new role will challenge you in a positive manner.As a portfolio Company, we are all different at Wilmington.
