Job Description

Business Analyst - Data Warehouse/BI - OUTSIDE IR35 - £450 pd - WFH BA - Data Warehouse BI specialist required for a 6 month role. You will be working from home with the very occasional visit to the offices in Birmingham.

  • Responsible for bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions by translating business requirements into actionable data insights through the data warehouse and BI platforms.
  • Business Requirements Gathering and Analysis: Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and challenges.
  • Define and document business requirements for data warehousing and BI initiatives.
  • Data Warehouse Design and Development: Contribute to the design and development of the data warehouse, including data modelling, ETL processes, and data quality management.
  • Work with data engineers and architects to ensure the data warehouse meets business needs and adheres to technical standards.
  • Business Intelligence and Reporting: Design reports and dashboards to visualise and communicate data insights to stakeholders.
  • Identify and implement data visualisation best practices to ensure reports are clear, concise, and actionable.
  • Data Analysis and Communication: Perform ad-hoc data analysis to answer business questions and solve problems.
  • 5 years+ of experience within Data Warehousing and BI arena.
  • Proven experience supporting the design and development of DWHs.
  • Strong understanding of data modelling concepts and techniques.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, R).
  • Ability to generate relevant test cases / data to prove against business requirements
  • Experience with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik).
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
