This vacancy is perfect for someone who has managerial experience and has either worked in/with schools, worked in a library or in book or print production.This is a fantastic opportunity that has arisen for a Team Manager to join a business based in Birmingham who supplies literature to schools, colleges and libraries in the local area.Salary = £28-33,000 per annumHours = Monday to Friday37.5 hours. Flexible on start time, as early at 7am or as late as 9am.Benefits = Free parking on site inside the clear air zone, 27 days holiday increasing with length of service, progression opportunities availableThis role is responsible for a team of six operational staff who are responsible for order picking, returns, display and shelving the books, preparing products for distribution and managing customer visits to site.Responsibilities include: Recruitment of permanent and temporary staff for your team Training and development of the team Mentoring Ensure that team are productive and working to processes correctly Cross train staff on other warehouse and operational sides of the business Annual stock takes Be the point of contact for this team across the business Work closely with departments such as marketing, sales, buying, customer services and website developmentThe ideal candidate for this role: Will have previous team management experience Must have either work experience of producing, supplying books/literature or can evidence a real passion and understanding of books on their CV Ability to address performance issues Can demonstrate good problem solving skills Data led approachTherefore if you have the passion for books that this employer is looking for then do not hesitate and apply today
