Job Description

National Express has a fantastic new opportunity to join us as a Bid & Proposal Apprentice in Birmingham!The Bid & Proposal Apprentice will be trained to:

  • Complete Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ)/Selection Questionnaire (SQ) documents
  • Project manage the timely delivery of copy and pricing from colleagues
  • Support the production and delivery of compliant proposal documents and presentation materials within client-defined timeframes
  • Update the library of standard response
Other responsibilities will include:
  • Monitoring bid emails and alerts from commissioners
  • Tracking new project/framework opportunities
  • Support with arranging bid kick-off meetings and regular progress and review meetings
  • Assist with preparing kick-off documents, CV collation, case study identification
  • Maintain the bid plan updating it to reflect the current status
  • Create and maintain bid documents within the shared drive
  • Register and maintain accounts for online tender portals
  • Capture and upload client tender clarifications and disseminate the responses to the team
  • Liaise with the design team to create images and diagrams
  • Support with recording and sharing lessons learned and best practice
  • Providing support to the Bid Team as needed

  • Permanent full time contract
  • Monday to Friday between 9.00 am to 5.30 pm [37.5 hours per week]
  • Monthly-Tutor-led 1-day seminars remotely
  • Support provided by our Skills Coaches (Assessors) who will spend between 1 to 1 1/2 hours with each apprentice every month
