Job Description

B2B CRM ManagerBirmingham City University - University House£39,036 to £42,430 per annum (+ 20% market supplement)Permanent - Full TimeRef: 072023-325Birmingham City University is harnessing the power of its business and partnership customer data, systems, processes, and tools. We need you, as an experienced, analytical, and commercially minded CRM professional, to join us as B2B CRM Manager. You willtake a leading role in driving B2B CRM change and success across the University during this exciting and transformational period, and beyond.About the roleAs a key member of the B2B marketing team, you will manage and develop your own small team to continue the seamless delivery of our B2B CRM service whilst leading the University’s new system onboarding activities. You will be instrumental in driving thetransition to our new B2B CRM system, Microsoft Dynamics, a cloud-based solution that is pivotal to the University’s strategic and technical transformation.Main responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the University’s strategic and responsive B2B CRM service to BCU users, partners, and stakeholders
  • Identify and deliver customer and prospect analysis to drive data led strategic decision making, identify commercial growth opportunities, and fuel highly targeted outreach and marketing activities
  • Lead frequent data cleansing and appending activities to strengthen the growth, recency and accuracy of our robust and compliant B2B customer and partnership database to improve the intelligence and value of our customer insight
  • Take a lead role in the onboarding, application configuration, data migration, and roll-out of our newly procured and leading CRM system
  • Lead the development and delivery of user training and the creation of supporting training materials
  • Lead user workshops and reviews to discover and deliver configuration enhancements to the CRM system to improve usability. This may include views, forms, dashboards, and customer journeys
  • Ensure data integrity is protected and security, privacy and GDPR guidelines are followed and always upheld
  • Manage and develop a small B2B CRM team to support with the above
  • Enjoy hybrid working with your locations split between our city centre campus and home
Role requirements
  • Solid experience within CRM or data analyst roles, ideally within a commercial and/or sales focused organisation - essential
  • Degree level education in marketing, business, data analysis or a related subject area, or a demonstrable combination of professional qualifications, skills, and experience at an equivalent level - essential
  • Additional professional data analysis or CRM related qualifications - desirable
  • Demonstrable experience of working with databases, campaign analysis, segmentation and email marketing and measurement activities to inform and enhance data driven marketing and campaign activity - essential
  • Experience of managing CRM systems - essential
  • Experience of rolling out CRM systems within a large organisation - desirable
  • Experience of managing and configuring Microsoft Dynamics or equivalent CRM systems - essential
  • Strong understanding of GDPR guidelines and data privacy requirements - essential
  • Experience in planning and delivering user training and associated documentation - essential
  • Experience of line managing and developing colleagues - essential
  • Keenness to keep abreast of the latest offerings in Dynamics via the Dynamics online community - essential
  • A self-starter and proactive approach to finding and delivering solutions - essential
  • Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills - essential
  • A self-managing work style with the ability to prioritise and manage competing priorities to meet deadlines - essential
  • Highly numerate with the ability to produce analysis, reports and derive valuable insights - essential
  • Advanced level of computer literacy in Microsoft packages, particularly Excel - essential
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and client liaison skills - essential
  • A High standard of written English - essential
