Azure Cloud DevOps Lead - Midlands UK - Hybrid WorkingUK, West Midlands for a Global Organisation with their European HQ in South Birmingham.Salary is £90,000pa with Excellent Corporate Benefits Package.This role involves a need for "Technical Hands-On and Functional Requirements" experience involving Azure DevOps, DevOps Leadership & Mentoring, SRE, Site Reliability, Containerisation, CI/CD, Kubernetes, Team City, Octopus, Advice, Guide and Mentor,Technical and Functional Collaboration with or parts of the IT function and organisations within the group.This client is a global leader in software products and operational services and has over 15 years of expertise in serving the energy, environmental, and carbon trading markets and they are urgently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Azure DevOps Lead to join their DevOps Team.This is a position that requires a deep understanding of Azure DevOps principles, strong technical skills, and the ability to Lead and Mentor a talented team of Cloud DevOps Engineers.As the Azure DevOps Lead, you will play a pivotal role in driving DevOps practices, optimising development and deployment processes, and ensuring the stability and scalability of systems.You will provide guidance, support, and foster a collaborative and high-performance culture to ensure the successful execution of DevOps initiatives.As the Azure DevOps Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable operation, monitoring, maintenance, and support of these environments.You will play a pivotal role in driving transitions to cloud-native technologies, enhancing overall Site Reliability, and maintaining high operational SLAs and SLOs.Your Main Responsibilities will be to:

  • Manage and optimize the production, QA, and development environments to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of our software products.
  • Design and implement robust monitoring systems that proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and system failures - This includes setting up monitoring tools, establishing alerting mechanisms, and conducting regularsystem health checks.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including software developers, system administrators, and QA Engineers, to streamline deployment processes and improve operational efficiency - This involves implementing efficient CI/CD pipelines, automatingbuild and deployment processes, and establishing effective release management practices.
  • Lead the adoption and integration of cloud-native technologies, with a particular focus on the Azure Cloud Platform. This includes evaluating, implementing, and managing cloud services and infrastructure to enhance the scalability, reliability, and securityof our software solutions.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and Azure DevOps.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges related to large databases, performance tuning, and web application support in IIS.
  • You will utilize your strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to identify and address any issues that may impact the smooth operation of our software products.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in DevOps and energy trading.
  • You will actively research and explore new tools, technologies, and methodologies such as Containers, Kubernetes, SRE etc to drive innovation and continuous improvement within our organization.
