Job Description

REMOTE ROLE - UPTO £80K - AZURE - BIG DATA - DEVSECOPS - DATAOPS - ENGINEER - ARCHITECTIm looking for a Big Data Lead (DevSecops DataOps) for a client with a West Midlands based head office but the role can be based remotely with willingness to travel to Birmingham on occasion.We are looking for an advocate of Azure, someone with strong technical knowledge in its products (Data Lake, Data Bricks, Synapse etc). A background in data-warehousing along with understanding of DevSecOps and Information Security standards is also a huge bonus.As a Big Data Engineer Lead, you will:

  • Promote Azure Technology, show the benefits that align with strategic initiatives
  • Manage the technical platform roadmap for the Big Data platform - helping to push and drive key delivery milestones.
  • Play a key role in technical design and ongoing development of custom ETL solutions, understanding and contributing from the design stage through to code level.
  • Being the point of contact of the data platform team.
  • Coach and develop team of specialists - Mentor& support as well as supervise to maintain quality of work and best practice.
  • Champion and lead the use of engineering best practices.
    • About you
  • Strong Azure Cloud experience.
  • Understanding of Azure products such as Data Lake, Data Factory, Synapse, Data Bricks, Data Catalogue etc.
  • Experience of working in a DevOps environment - knowledge of security standards.
  • Data Warehouse background - modelling techniques such as Kimball, Inmon.
  • Extensive experience on data modelling.
  • Experience of managing both on prem and cloud environments.
