Job Description

Senior QA Software Tester:Location: Birmingham, West MidlandsSalary: £45,000 - £55,000CX Squared have been asked to build a brand new product engineering team which currently stands at one CTO, to a team of 12 in the next 6 months.One of the first key strategic hires will be a Lead QA Software Testers, who will have a career opportunity to become Head of Software testing as that team grows.Due to the nature of this new team, the dynamics and culture are very important and therefore they are seeking for someone to be based in the office predominantly for the first 3-6 months and then they will be look to go to hybrid working.We are currently recruiting for a fast-growing fintech Company, for the role of Senior QA Software Tester. Its an exciting opportunity to work for a company that are specialists in providing employee benefits, holistic and tailored insurances and HR solution.Invested in their employees, they strongly believe in employee wellbeing, as well as enabling their staff with as many learning and development opportunities that they can take on!You must be able to write automation code and must have experience with API Testing.What youll be doing:

  • Testing web sites, web services, Windows applications; functional, non-functional, UAT, regression and performance testing
  • Managing the Testing Requirements for the Full Releases & Hotfixes so new code can be deployed
  • Managing and coordinating demos to achieve business and stakeholder sign off
  • Scope to review requirements, evaluate and implement the automation scripts following the methodologies and tools selected.
  • Building metrics and automated systems for gathering/analyzing quality checkpoints
  • Design solutions for Quality Processes, Testing & Automation Strategies and Test Execution
Main Skills/ Requirements:
  • Experience of, or the ability to test across mobile app/tablet/desktop, and multiple internet browsers
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment involving multiple platforms and architectures
  • Experience of conducting a practical and systematic approach to testing
  • Demonstrate a high level of attention to detail
  • Experience of working in a cross-functional agile software team would be an advantage.
  • Proficient in using bug tracking tools would be an advantage
  • Hands-on experience with test automation and frameworks for End-to-End testing
  • A strong understanding of agile processes, the related QA lifecycle and automation methodology
  • Experience in Testing tools which compromise of:
    • Automation UI : selenium
    • Automation API : soap UI
    • CVS : GiThub or BitBucket
    • Test management Jira , Zephyr
    • Mobile automation Appium , Sauce Lab & Browser Stack
    • Configurations Tool : Jenkins
    • Build Tool : Maven
