Associate Transport and Planning Team Lead

Job Description

An opening for a Transport planner has become available for a multi-disciplinary consultancy in Birmingham. You will be joining a team who combines technical expertise and extensive knowledge to delivery sustainable, acceptable, and cost-effective developmentsfor clients. Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the delivery of transport assessments, transport statements, travel maps, masterplans and other technical reports to support planning applications.
  • Working with other members of the team, private and public sectors clients, architects and planners throughout the project life cycle and understanding the ability to apply appropriate standards such as design manual for roads and bridges, manual for streetsand local authority design guides.
What you should bring
  • You will be able to demonstrate experience in transport planning for development, including analysis and assessment.
  • Ability to assist senior colleagues with dealing with Clients, local Authorities, and other regulatory bodies.
  • Knowledge of client briefs, fee proposals and the effective delivery of project work.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist in the preparation transport statement / assessments with some wilder experience in technical design and master planning.
  • Experience of industry standard junction capacity assessments such as Junctions 10 and LinSig, preferably including experience of larger network modelling.
  • Experience of preparing and checking figures and drawings, using packages such as AutoCAD and GIS.
