Area Sales Manager - Wall & Floor TilesJob Title: Area Sales Manager - Wall & Floor TilesIndustry Sector: Wall and Floor Tiles, Retail Showrooms, Distribution, Mosaics, Porcelain, Ceramic, Glass and StoneArea to be covered: West Midlands & WalesRemuneration: £30,000 - £37,000 + £5,000-£10,000 Uncapped CommissionBenefits: Car + Full BenefitsThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Wall & Floor Tiles will involve:

  • Field sales position, selling a manufactured and distributed range of wall & floor tiles
  • Promoting a wide range of porcelain tiles, ceramic tiles, mosaic tiles and glass & stone tiles
  • Predominantly (90%) an account management position, responsible for circa 200 retail showrooms
  • New business will be required when introducing new product lines and addressing underperforming retail showrooms
  • Responsible for an area which should be achieving circa £1m turnover
  • Vacancy due to growing the area and maternity leave cover
  • Majority of revenue comes from top 20% retail showrooms, so journey plans will vary from visits every 2-4 weeks to bi-annual
    • The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Wall & Floor Tiles with:
  • Proven track record of field sales and account management
  • Ideally sold an interior aesthetically pleasing / design led product
  • Experience of having sold into distribution, ideally retail showrooms
  • Tile experience is not essential, our client is open to many interior product backgrounds such as:adhesives, office furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, lighting, fabrics, wall coverings, wallpapers, ceilings, soft furnishings, floor coverings etc
  • Hungry and on the up
  • Contacts within retail showrooms not essential
  • Effective territory management and journey planning skills
