Area Sales Manager - External Building ProductsJob Title: Area Sales Manager - External Wall Insulation / Faade RendersIndustry Sector: Building Envelope, Faade Renders, Render, Renders, Plasters, Mortars, Textured Products, Silicone Render, Contractors, National Merchants, Independent Merchants, External Wall Insulation, Exterior Finishes, Structural Concrete, Building Materials,Building Products, Rainscreen, Faade, Cladding, Heavyside Building Products, National Builders Merchants, Independent Merchants, Merchants, DistributorsArea to be covered: Midlands, Wales & East AngliaRemuneration: £40,000 - £50,000 (depending on experience) + up to 20% bonus paid quarterlyBenefits: Ford Ranger & full comprehensive benefits package The role of the Area Sales Manager - External Wall Insulation / Faade Renders will involve:

  • Field sales positions selling a high quality manufactured range of faade renders, external paints, eternal wall insulation & EWI systems
  • Majority of your time will be spent selling to external wall and render distributors
  • Want to get into larger national and independent builders merchants
  • The remaining portion of your time will be spent selling to applicators, main and sub-contractors, homeowners, housebuilders with particular focus on plastering contractors
  • Will be an element of generating specification with architects and specifiers
  • Inheriting a patch currently turning over £1.5m
  • Will be given circa 60 active spending accounts
  • Large patch therefore will require good territory management skills
The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - External Wall Insulation / Faade Renders with:
  • Must have worked for or sold to builders merchants (would consider someone working for a merchant)
  • Ideally within the heavyside market place selling products such as: renders, plasters, mortars, external wall insulation, cladding, insulation, rainscreen, facades, concrete, aggregates, structural building products or related products (however open onproduct background)
  • Would consider branch manager with no field sales
  • Would consider a good construction sales professional with a mixed route to market
  • Ideally technical and on-site experience with building materials
  • Genuine get up and go, determined and tenacious, make a good impression
