Job Description

Architectural Technician role with a leading national house builder in the West Midlands region. Flexibility in WFH/WFO with great remuneration.Client DetailsHouse builder focused on place-making through considered master planning and sensitive house type design. The proudly boast more awards for design and delivery than any other house builder and are in fact themselves the competition. They have a newly established office in the West Midlands and are looking for passionate employees to join their team in making this region a success.Description

  • Produce planning, working, conveyance, As Built drawings for formal issue, including site layouts, block plans, house types, apartments, material schedules and material distribution plans.
  • Check ancillary designs are suitable and in accordance with working drawings.
  • Submit working drawing construction packs to LABC and discharging conditions thereafter to gain plan check approval prior to start on site.
  • Co-ordinate with external consultants to prepare superstructure designs and checking them for errors, rectifying them in a timely fashion to ensure programme deadlines are achieved.
  • Ensure designs have taken into account planning, LABC & NHBC standards where required, and that designs (e.g. external levels information) have been overlaid onto the external works to identify problems which will affect the programme.
  • Attend site, development, close of business and pre construction meetings to ensure departments have an understanding of designs produced.
  • Answer queries from internal departments and site in a timely manner.
    • ProfileIn order to successfully apply, youll will currently be working in an Architectural capacity, producing technical drawings for developments. This will preferably include working on volume residential schemes, whereby youll have gained familiarity with sector specific elements including NHBC/LABC, CMLs, SAPs/EPCs etc.You will be able to demonstrate a good knowledge of the UK building regulations and be aware of upcoming legislative changes. Youll also be a dab hand on AutoCAD, and enjoying producing a variety of technical drawings.You enjoy a balance and blend of autonomous and collaborative working.Job Offer
