Air and Water Technician / Field Service EngineerAir and Water Technician / Field Service Engineer. A UK engineering firm focused on air and water, helping building owners and managers meet their responsibilities for air and water hygiene and the safety of their buildings, need to recruit engineers inthe Midlands and North West and Yorkshire regions.The Air and Water Technician / Field Service Engineer will be an individual who is capable of carrying out duties in accordance with relevant legislation including ACOP L8 / HSG 274, so legionella bacteria in water systems and BESA standard TR19.The Air and Water Technician / Field Service Engineer duties on air works will include: Ductwork cleaning and disinfections by using either manual or mechanical cleaning methods all in accordance with TR19 and applicable COSHH regulations.Inspection and testing of ventilation system fire dampersGrease readings in kitchen extracts and grease filter cleans.Deep cleaning of kitchen areas, including removing all kitchen items and cleaning the floors, walls, externals of ovens, fridges etc.Job completion paperwork, reading plans and labelling building assetsThe Air and Water Technician / Field Service Engineer duties on water works include:Temperature monitoringAsset labellingBacteriological samplingCleaning and disinfection of systems including cooling towersThermostatic Mixer Valves servicing (TMV)Modifications to and problem solving on hot, cold and LTHW heating systemsCompleting paperwork and logbooksLiaison with the client at all levelsJob completion paperwork, reading plans and labelling building assetsDue to some prison work a DBS check will be required.The normal working hours will be 08.00am - 16.15pm Monday to Thursday and to 16.00pm on a Friday. There will be out of hours working, for example working 8 - 10 hours on a night shift.
