Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk required for a permanent opportunity, working for a well known reputable business based in Birmingham City Centre. Operating nationally, the business has been successful in their field for over 75 years and place theirfocus upon their people in all aspects of their business. Working within the AR and AP teams, you will be responsible for: - Processing and posting invoices - Generating and sending out of copy invoices as requested - Managing incoming post and ensuring that queries are allocated to the correct department - Vetting of mailboxes - Updating supplier information within company procedure - Maintain payments received, processing transactions and banking cheques. - Assisting with matching payments, preparing manual documentation and posting to the ledger - Obtain signatory approval where required - Inputting payments on multiple banking platforms - Assist with general accounts payable and accounts receivable duties as required Experience Required: - Excellent communicator (both written and verbal) - General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures - Client centric - Proven organisation skills with ability to prioritise in a timely and efficient manner - Strong relationship building skills - Outstanding attention to detail - Good interpersonal skills - personable and professional - Confident telephone manner - Excellent level of IT skills The business is in the heart of Birmingham city centre and is easily accessible by train and bus, you will be working 9-5 Monday to Friday split between the home and office (3 days per week).
