An experienced 3rd Line Network Engineer is now sought by a leading educational organisation. The successful candidate will be a key part of the team responsible for the implementation, build and maintenance of a cutting edge enterprise network infrastructure. Whilst also taking responsibility for contract, licensing, procurement and systems administrationThe 3rd Line Network Engineer will be responsible for:- Providing Tier 3 troubleshooting on active infrastructure, switches, routers, firewalls and network management systems- Proactive 3rd line support of the network active infrastructure through carrying out investigations- Maintain and monitor the Organisation’s network as part of day-to-day operations- Follow the change controls, incident management processes and policies to ensure a reliable service is provided- Day-to-day maintenance and also participation in the ongoing development of the Organisations networksThe successful 3rd Line Network Engineer must possess:- Commercial Tier 3 / 3rd Line, hands-on experience with network switches- Fixed network support and engineering experience is essential- Experience of working on and supporting an enterprise scale network- Strong network engineering experience – firewall policies / switch configuration / OSPF advanced protocols- Commercial Aruba network experience is ideal as is ClearPass experience- Desirable experience in Cisco / FortiGate productsThis is a brilliant opportunity for a commercially experienced 3rd Line Network Engineer to work on-site at a globally respected Organisation in the heart of BirminghamExcellent training and certifications will be available to successful network professional.Salary £45,000 - £49,500 plus excellent Company benefits.If this role of 3rd Line Network Engineer is of interest, please APPLY or get in touch on
