Job Description

Supervisor (Programmed Works)Salary: £34,816 - £39,621 per annumPosition: Permanent, Full Time 37 hours Location: Birmingham/ Hybrid We are brave, we are ambitious, we are honest, and we are Citizen!Do you want to work for an organisation that supports work life balance If so, we may have the opportunity you have been looking for.We are looking for a Supervisor to join our Maintenance Operations Directorate within the Programmed Works team to lead a team of 12-14 Trade Engineers plus sub-contractors primarily within the Birmingham based operation but may be required to support otherareas. The Programmed Works team deliver a number of planned projects within tenants homes including kitchen and bathroom replacements. The current programme delivers circa 650 units across 3 different geographical areas.In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Supervisor (Maintenance) will involve:

  • Managing the delivery of customer focussed operational performance through an assigned team of Trade Engineers with dedicated support in the form of operational admin.
  • Providing technical and practical support to a team of Trade Engineers
  • Focusing on the efficient and effective delivery of programmed works initially responsible for discharging a Kitchen and Bathroom /cyclical maintenance and soffit & facia programme
  • Focus on delivery of the best possible customer experience
As Supervisor (Maintenance)we need you to have:
  • Experience in a similar position
  • Knowledge of programme delivery & financial management, building construction processes, procurement rules and health and safety regulation
  • Experience of staff management including performance, attendance and absence, conduct, disciplinary and grievance matters
  • Experience of dealing with customers and commitment to delivering a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary to effectively work and communicate with customers, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver business objectives
  • Ability to manage conflicting and competing priorities effectively
  • A good level of IT literacy including the use of Microsoft Office applications, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word, and experience of working with dynamic scheduling and housing management systems (such as Active H or DRS/Opti-time)
  • Driving licence
We would be reallyexcited if you have:
  • A qualification in a building related subject to HNC, City & Guilds or NVQ or relevant trade background
  • Experience of working within or with a social housing provider delivering maintenance and building services
  • Working knowledge of current Building Regulations and CDM Regulations
