Job Description

Project Officer £28,606- £33,683Birmingham, B37 7YN (Hybrid)Basis: Full TimeWork pattern: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per weekType: PermanentThis is a great opportunity for you to join one of the UK’s most trusted social housing providers.You will be joining them at an exciting time as we develop our plans and deliver their new Asset Management Strategy, implementing major investments to maximise the positive impact we can make through our planned programmes to create safe, secure and sustainablehomes and communities:As Project Officer you will play a key role in planning, implementing and supporting colleagues in the delivery of Asset Management Projects. This will include leading on key project activities that impact on Citizen’s future investment decisions under thesupervision of our Portfolio Manager.If this sounds like you, you’ll feel right at home.   • Leading, planning and administrating asset related projects as requested by the Portfolio Manager
  • Supporting in reviews of specific assets, or groups of assets, including undertaking financial appraisals
  • Collating and producing reports and or supporting documentation for monitoring and reviewing projects as required
  • Being responsible for the documentation, development and review of policies and procedures to effectively deliver elements of the Asset Management Strategy
  • Undertaking research pertaining to the Directorate e.g. Government Agendas and Policy, market conditions, including providing executive summaries
  • Implementing, co-ordinating and monitoring project targets
  • Assisting the Asset Team in their role in developing and delivering the sustainability agenda
As Project Officer they need you to have:
  • Understanding of the legislative and regulatory framework surrounding the role
  • Level 4 education in a building related discipline or equivalent through relevant training/extensive experience
  • Excellent data analysis skills, used to exporting and manipulating information, preparing, and issuing reports to Senior Leadership Team, Executive Leadership Team and Board
  • Experience of taking a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring risks and issues are identified, addressed, and reported and where appropriated, escalated.
  • Ability to respond constructively to conflicting demands and pressures, and changes in priority or interruptions from colleagues, stakeholders and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
