Job Description

Customer Service & Administration - Team SupportB37 - Birmingham Business Park - with parking£20,000 plus annual bonus35 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 9am to 5pmOverview:Our well-established professional client is a key player in their field. Even with their substantial growth over the years they have retained their culture and ethos of a friendly and professional family business.They are looking for a Customer Service / Sales Support Administrator to provide admin and customer service support to the customer service team to achieve their objectives and meet the daily operational needs of the department.This is a career role as they do offer clear career progression. The last two people in this role were promoted within 6 months.Responsibilities will include:

  • Answer incoming calls to the office and forward to the relevant person
  • General office duties such as visitor reception
  • Create and update orders and delivery requests
  • Check manufacturer acknowledgements and monitor timely receipt
  • Develop and maintain good and effective working relationships
  • Support the sales teams in their objectives
  • Monitor and process all supplier dispatch reports
  • Ensure prompt action of queries received
  • Provide absence cover for Customer Service Coordinators
Skills & Qualities:
  • Well-developed telephone call handling skills
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and be polite but assertive when required in difficult situations
  • Must show evidence of being organised and responding promptly
  • Ability to listen properly and to be patient when required
  • Able to work under pressure and make correct decisions
  • Good skills in Word and general Windows environment
  • Admin or Customer Service experience
