Job Description

Digital Workplace Solution Architect with a focus on SCCM that will be responsible for designing enterprise solutions and can produce design documentation artefacts including higher level designs, lower-level designs, installation, and operation guidesas well as technical notes and knowledge base documentation within medium to large scale SCCM solutions.You will engage with senior customer stakeholders, shaping and delivering workplace strategies and solutions in line with the clients Digital Workplace practice strategy. Input into business cases and solution costings as well as providing technical governance.Experience in assisting with technical presales / bid support activities as well as developing relationships with peers, partners, and vendors.Nurture junior member of staff through mentoring and supporting practice development activities.Essential Criteria:

  • Deep understanding of Active Directory (On-premises and Azure AD services)
  • Extensive architecture and engineering experience of device management (both desktop and server) with Microsoft Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Deep understanding of SCCM components, roles, interactions, and system dependencies
  • SQL knowledge as it pertains to the design of the SCCM database and reporting services (SSRS)
  • Scripting experience (PowerShell or equivalent), understanding of Microsoft API s and tool integration
  • Strong understanding of the mechanics and processes for developing end to end provisioning processes in SCCM to including images, software deployment, and patching
  • Significant experience with:
    • Delivery optimisation using BranchCache (Distributed Cache and Hosted Cache) design principals (especially with Windows 10)
    • Designing and supporting large scale (global and regional) OS patch operations
  • Proficiency in:
    • Designing HLDs and LLDs for key EUC technology stacks
    • Building detailed design and implementation plan
  • Knowledge of:
    • Real-time client device monitoring and management
    • Application Packaging processes
    • Antivirus/Antimalware deployment
Desirable Criteria:
  • Implementation of Desktop Analytics
  • ServiceNow Knowledge
  • MAC based management tools e.g., JAMF
  • Experience of architecture methodologies e.g., TOGAF
  • ITIL v4 Foundation
