Job Description

Business Support OfficerBirmingham Business Park, B37 7YN (Hybrid Working)£21,890 - £25,424 per annumPermanent, Full Time Our clients new build development team delivers over 500 handovers of new properties within the Midlands area every year. As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for administration tasks across the team - covering pre-contract, post-contract,Signature new homes (theirfor-profit subsidiary) and regeneration. Working on administration tasks before and after handover your role is challenging and varied.In housing you can make a real difference, the role of Business Support Officer will involve:

  • A range of administration duties across the New Build Development Team.
  • A wide range of tasks, learning about development and all its challenges along the way.
  • An opportunity to learn a new side of the business in a vibrant and passionate team.
  • Working on collating documentation for handover and defect inspections
  • The processing of invoices and attending meeting for minute taking.
  • Data and document collection, on both current and legacy schemes, for the purposes of security charging and value maximisation.
  • Working flexibly in a team of Business Support Officers and Senior Business Support officer, sharing workload where required.
  • Marketing of new schemes and maintaining scheme information on a variety of platforms for purpose of sale products.
As Business Support Officer, they need you to have:
  • Good Standard of education to GCSE or equivalent level, including Maths and English.
  • Knowledge and experience of administration tasks
  • High levels of IT literacy skills
  • Proven experience in providing a high-level customer focussed service to both internal and external customers
  • Experience of copy typing
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint / Publisher
  • Professional standard of typing and word processing
  • High levels of communication skills
  • Effective team working skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to deal with a variety of clerical tasks within standard procedures
  • Ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
  • Requirement to be adaptable and flexible in approach to provide cover as appropriate within the team.
  • Ability to produce accurate work to a professional standard

  • Good working knowledge of project management system (Sequel)
