About The RoleA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Cyber Security Analystto join our team at Sunbelt Rentals UK. As aCyber Security Analyst you’ll help us to deliver exceptional customer experiences and live up to our values, setting an unrivalled standard for the industry.The role is responsible for the implementation and monitoring of all aspects of Information Security against threats such as security breaches, computer viruses or attacks. As a Cyber Security Analyst you willassist the Information Technology Security Manager in maintaining and delivering the Information Security Strategy across the business ensuring that it meets current and future business requirementsKey Responsibilities:

  • Subject Matter Expert for security
  • Assist in the management of patching, vulnerability analysis and penetration testing to ensure our internal security objectives and KPIs are maintained or improved, recommendations are risk assessed and implemented in a timely manner
  • To assist with technical vulnerability assessments of IT systems and processes, identifying potential vulnerabilities, to make recommendations to the Information Technology Security Manager to control any risks identified and to ensure they are implemented
  • Design, document, plan, and implement security with technical infrastructure solutions and upgrades
  • Assist with the creation and maintenanceof the IT Security Strategy and Roadmap
  • Liaise and work closely with internal clients and third parties to ensure fit for purpose security solutions are successfully implemented via projects
  • Present Security solutions for approval via internal processes such as ArchitectureReview Board and Change Board
  • Represent the security team and Security Manager at Internal and External meetings asrequired
  • Assist with the management of internal and external security and compliance requirements
  • Mentor and instruct other functions within the IT Family on securityAbout The CandidateTo be successful in this role you will likely be in a similar position or have relevant transferable experience. A history of equipment rental or construction industries is preferable.You will be comfortable working under pressure and to tight deadlines whilst still maintaining a professional and approachable manner. You will enjoy working as part of a team and have excellent communication skills.The Ideal candidate will have the following;

  • Excellent organisation, task prioritisation and time management skills
  • Complete all tasks to the very best of your ability using initiative to overcome hurdles and an eye for detail
  • Demonstrates the abilityto translate technical jargon into simple language for other stakeholders
  • Complete all required documentation correctly and accurately
  • Enthusiastic, passionate, patient and should be a critical thinker and logical problem solver
  • Should possess good logical skills and ability to prioritize tasks depending upon the emergency situations
  • Operational IT Security experience, ideally gained within a multi-site, complex network environment.
  • Experience of both Private and Public cloud infrastructure
  • Proven ability to ensure all Security components have the appropriate management and operational tools, procedures and documentation required for their successful operation
  • Proven ability to own the development of the security architecture to support the delivery of IT projects
