Radar Recruitment are delighted to be exclusively partnered, once again with a large, recognisable employer based in East Kent, supporting them in their search for a brand-new Assistant Management Accountant. Due to significant changes within the organisation,there has been a real shift in focus and mentality, contracts that have previously been deemed as transactional are now looked at, on a relationship and service level basis, and as such the company will see more than a 10% increase in their turnover acrossthe next 12 months. The business is highly reputable with strong links across the County, the finance team are long-standing with a high-calibre culture; its high-autonomy, high-reward environment is extremely attractive to those wishing to have an impacton the wider business.We have recently placed at a senior level within the company and in turn, a long-standing member of the team has received a promotion to support the incoming candidate, therefore opening up a gap across the core finance team. The business has decided toupgrade the role and dedicate an individual solely to one area of the company accounts, with the view that as this person has closer ties to the detailed data, it will result in a higher level of accuracy and pace in their reporting.Responsibilities:

• To calculate and confirm supplier rebates
• To assist in the development of systems and processes for the improvement of efficiency, accuracy and timelines
• Participate in systems development, testing and issue resolution as required to ensure that planned outcomes are achieved
• Assist with the annual budget and re-forecasting processes, identifying any major variances to prior years and previous forecasts and ensuring that adequate information is collated to understand any future variances to budget
• Preparation of accounting GL reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts information
• Calculate the stock valuation
• Reconcile the costs and balances
• To record production levels - report and analyse this information
• To ensure the correct costs are invoiced
• To coordinate the completion of the weekly prices
• To provide support as needed to the Accounts Payable team to enable them to accurately process invoices

• AAT Qualified or Studying, Part-Qualified all to be considered, we are seeking an individual who can appreciate that this role will have a level of processing as well as higher level reporting.
• Exposure to a product-based environment, be it Food, other FMCG or Manufacturing would be deemed as a positive, understanding operational requirements and having exposure to partnering with people outside of finance will be useful.
• Attitude is everything for this hire, you will need to have a natural drive to improve and develop the role, be willing to learn and adapt to the nuances of the sector and ultimately mould the role around your strengths to benefit the wider team.
