Job Description

Job Role: Technical Sales EngineerLocation: CoventrySalary: Basic - £27,000 - £35,000 Bonus OTE - £10,000 - £16,000Metalis is working in partnership with a market leading installation company who due to continuous growth are looking to hire a skilled Technical Sales Engineer on a permanent basis. Working in the field sales team, youll be responsible for developing existingterritories and increasing market share by selling the widest range of high-quality Compressed Air, Industrial Gas Generators, Process Chilling & Vacuum equipment in the Midlands area.Job Duties:

  • Promoting the business in your nominated, by supporting the Sales Manager and other team members in achieving sales, and development of the customer base.
  • Undertaking proposals, including the calculation of sales prices to achieve sales. Supporting sales with demonstration, exhibition and negotiation in order to achieve targets.
  • Supporting sales through undertaking site surveys and providing technical advice to both existing and potential customers. Ensuring that an excellent standard of after sales service is provided.
  • Effective provision of sales data, including the timely recording of visit and action reports (including lost order reports) and analysis of sales performance against budget.
Job Requirements:
  • Proven sales experience.
  • A technical background or qualification - although this is not essential. If you have a good sales background, positive attitude, and aptitude to learn, we can teach you the rest!
  • Experience or knowledge of the compressed air industry ideally, but not essential.
  • A full UK driving license, because this is a field-based job and you will be travelling on a daily basis across your region. Excellent IT skills, and desire to learn new systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers. Excellent organisation and time management skills.
Salary & Shift:
  • Salary - £27,000 - £35,000 Dependant on experience
  • Car Allowance - £4560 per annum + Business mileage
  • Bonus OTE - £10,000 - £16,000
  • Hours of work - Monday to Friday 30am to 5pm (30 min lunch) Holiday
  • 28 Days including public holidays
