Maintenance SupervisorLocation: Coventry, West MidlandsSalary: Competitive, DOEContract: Permanent, Full TimeAbout the Company:SFM is an innovative Coventry-based B2B supplier of gelling fibres & fabrics for the advanced wound care industry. We offer a range of wound care technologies and all our products are manufactured in ISO certified clean rooms in line with the highest standards of care.SFMs aim is to successfully deliver innovative, cost effective and quality products and solutions into the advanced wound care industry with an ultimate aim of improving patient care and wellbeing.Currently an exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic Maintenance Supervisor to join and support Maintenance team.Maintenance Supervisor duties to include:- Manage the companys CMMS system- Ensure PPM schedules are carried out in accordance with the plan- Help prioritise equipment breakdown repairs- Provide mechanical and electrical engineering input to identify and resolve fault conditions alongside maintenance teams.- Ensure all plant engineering work is undertaken to meet Medical Device Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements- Supervise and monitor contractors to ensure contractors on site perform to Medical Device Quality, Health and Safety and Environmental requirements- If required implement and maintain Health, Safety systems to achieve compliance e.g. Permit compliance, risk and method statement adherence.- Ensure all relevant documentation and paperwork is stored appropriately- Support the maintenance of equipment, for example Steam generators, compressors, to ensure the provision of services- Support H&S representative with Risk evaluation and implementing solutions to reduce and eliminate risk.- Champion a SAFER system of See And Fix Error Reporting from receiving SAFERs to see through to completion.- Mentor, motivate and support the maintenance technicians and apprentices to improve development and performance against departmental and company objectives.Key skills / abilities:- Knowledge and understanding of safety systems and legislation.- Previous experience in a supervisory or team leadership role.- A completed apprenticeship in Engineering, preferably NVQ Level 3 in Maintenance Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical).- Able to get on with and influence people both internally and externally to achieve objectives.- Strong people and inter personal skills, able to coach and lead people effectively.- The ability to effectively communicate with Management and colleagues both verbally and in written format.- A motivated, enthusiastic and flexible attitude.- Understanding of Medical Device regulations would be beneficial.- Experience of operating to GMP standards is beneficial.- Registered and working knowledge of the current electrical wiring regulations would be beneficial.- Knowledge and experience of a process plant environment and building service equipment is beneficial.Benefits:- Competitive salary- Contributory pension scheme- Life cover- Incapacity benefits- Cash Back Medical Scheme- Flexible working hoursIf you have the skills and experience we require for this role and are looking for a new challenge please email your CV to us with a relevant cover letter, explaining why you are a good fit for this roleImportant Information:Due to the number of applications we receive, we will only contact those candidates that we want to take forward to interview; if you do not hear from us within 4 weeks, please assume that your application has been unsuccessful on this occasion.If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please click on APPLY and forward an up-to-date CV and cover letter, explaining why you are a good fit for this role.No agencies please.
