Job Description

Company DescriptionCEVaC Limited is an Importer, Exporter and Distributor of Industrial and Commercial Insulation Fixings, Fasteners and Ductwork Accessories for the Building, Heating and Ventilating industries based in Billingshurst, West Sussex. We sell throughout the UK and overseas markets. Continuing growth of the business means we need a full time, experienced person, on a permanent basis, to work in our warehouse, alongside our busy sales office.Job descriptionWe want to recruit a Warehouse Operative who is enthusiastic about delivering customer service by ensuring that the details of the customer’s requirements are followed precisely and despatches are made in a timely manner.Your role will involve

  • Loading and unloading delivery vehicles by hand or with forklift truck.
  • Receive goods, book in, store and log locations.
  • Inspection of goods received against delivery notes/purchase orders, for quantities and quality.
  • Picking, Packing and Despatching goods in a timely manner
  • Printing and attaching despatch paperwork
  • Booking on collections with carriers and obtaining prices for non-standard deliveries/exports.
  • General Warehouse Duties and Compliance with ISO9000
  • Liaising with the office on reorder levels and stock control.
  • Random stock checks and Annual stock take.
  • Keeping the warehouse clean and tidy and complying with Health and Safety rules.
  • Generally implementing best practice in the warehouse.
    • The ideal candidate should have the following skills:
  • Forklift Licence (or training could be offered)
  • Numerate, with a good working knowledge of Commercial Warehouse procedures.
  • Willing and able to lift boxes up to 30Kgs and to demonstrate a solid work ethic.
  • Ability to work alone, without supervision, when under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail, with ability to prioritise, plan and organise workload.
  • Ability to follow rules, a good time-keeper and reliable.
  • Good communication skills and confident telephone manner helpful.
  • Positive and mature attitude, with friendly and helpful personality.
    • Starting salary will be £20-£24,000 p.a., dependent on experience. In addition to basic salary, we pay a discretionary Performance Related Bonus twice a year. We also offer entrance into our Private Health Insurance Scheme.Hours are 9.00am-5.30pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour for lunch; 20 days holiday a year plus 8 bank holiday days.Free parking on site or alternatively a 5 minute walk from Billingshurst station.Applicants should be aware of company policy in regard to mobile phones, which is that, except inemergencies, staff must restrict any personal use of their mobile phones/devices to their lunch break.To apply please submit your C.V. and a covering letter.
