Qualified Visually Impaired Teacher:PermanentPart time post (Min 14 hours a week, Max 30 hours)Salary: Up to £33,200 per annum (based on 30 hours a week)Permanent Sensory Support Teacher RequiredOur client is a day and weekly boarding (term time only) school for 60 pupils aged 3 to 19 with neuro-motor impairments such as cerebral palsy. A good school with outstanding features (Ofsted November 2017), they are at the forefront of UK Conductive Education.We are looking for an enthusiastic Qualified Teacher for Visual Impairment to join our client’s friendly team, where the learner truly is at the center of everything they do.The successful applicant will be:- Enthusiastic and self-motivated individual.- You should have recent experience of working with visually impaired children and have the ability to work both as part of team and independently.- Ensure the children and young people have appropriate technological aids (visual) to support their development, working in partnership with members of our class teams, families and other stakeholders.- Deliver planned, comprehensive, and co-ordinated support and direct teaching for our children and young people with visual impairments, promoting inclusion and enabling access to learning, as well as writing reports and creating visual /hearing passports.- You should have knowledge and understanding of appropriate assessment tools for children with disabilities.We are looking for someone with strong personal values and emotional resilience, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with all teams. You should have good IT and organisation skills to work flexibly. You will ideally have up-to-date knowledge and understanding of educational legislation, the SEN code of practice and OfSTED inspection frameworks.
